Pride London hits the road to represent you at Pride Toronto!

It was the first time any of us have been in the parade, and what an overwhelming experience!

We were on the road before 7:30 am with a trunkful of water and snacks and couldn't have asked for better weather for the drive. Deb and I met up with Michelle and her daughter in Milton and we headed to the parade headquarters together in her yellow Jeep.

It was hot, but really, really beautiful. Which is a good thing, because we had a good 5 hours ahead of us before we would actually get rolling...

I couldn't believe that we missed Rick Mercer! He was on this float, but nowhere to be seen when we wandered by.

 We met up with Johnathan Sawicki and his PrideWestern group of marchers and eventually, we were off! 

As you can understand, there was no time to take pictures once we got rolling. We handed out hundreds of postcards promoting Pride London and are already planning our return next year. ;)
